Face masks are required at Hawaiʻi airports until at least April 18 under federal rules – Hawaiipublicradio

At the stroke of midnight Friday, face masks can come off when indoors at most places in Hawaiʻi. But not at airports and on airplanes — and mandatory testing will still apply on some cruise ships. Those federal rules for public transportation are still in place until at least April 18. That may add confusion and potential headaches for those who may have to act as enforcers at our harbors or airports. The Conversation talked to Jai Cunningham, spokesperson for the state Department of Transportation to learn the latest.
