HOWEVER, I DON’T THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE TAKEN IT TO BEGIN WITH. >> I MADE SURE TO EMAIL THEM IN THE MEETG.IN I WAS LIKE, THIS IS WHAT THEY SAID TODAY. The vote comes based on the Maryland State Department of Education’s off-ramp for school districts to lift mask requirements.

Anyone on a school bus will still be required to wear a face mask per federal requirements.

Any student, staff or visitor can choose to wear a mask, and should feel comfortable doing so, the district said in a statement.

The superintendent cited metrics that show a decline for the first time in the last three months.
